Search and Rescue Teams in Sanders County SAR

The Water Rescue Team is trained in:

 Public Safety Divers
Swiftwater Rescue Technicians
Ice Rescue Technicians
Medical Dive Specialists
Rescue Boat Operators
Dive Tenders 

 The Mountain Rescue Team handles all technical rope rescue both on land and water including but not limited to low angle rescue, high angle rescue and confined space rescue.   Our team assists any of the other teams when setting up technical systems or riggings. 

 The Winter Rescue Team responds to all emergencies in the cold weather, these can range from lost and/or injured hunters and snowmobilers,  avalanches and ice rescue.   Our teams train regularly and are ready to respond when called upon. 

 The K9 Team has a SARDUS (Search and Rescue Dogs of the United States)certified Dutch Shepherd known as Arrow. Dutchies are known  as a lively,  athletic,  alert and intelligent breed and Arrow fits all of these. Her handler, Shilah, and Arrow are constant companions and training is continual. 

The Medical Team is made up of EMTs and AEMTs. Outdoor medicine can be challenging, and sometimes requires staying out with our patients in remote areas for extended periods of time. Our team works to stabilize our patients and keep them calm and secure until we can get them to more definitive care.   

Our Drone Team utilizes advanced multi-rotor UAS technology to provide critical aerial intelligence. By leveraging high-resolution thermal imaging and long-range optical zoom, we deliver real-time mapping and live video feeds to ground operations. Our mission is to enhance situational awareness, ensuring faster response times and more precise search outcomes.
